Using SAP and RAPnet to plan and create the Risk Assessment Permit for rotating equipment and other mechanical work. Procuring spares and dealing with Operations and all other trades and services to create detailed plans which go direct to the Maintenance schedule. Entering notifications and prioritizing work orders in SAP, working closely with Planners, Operations and other trade departments to carry out planned and emergent work.
Plan unit outages and refinery T+I's, oversee commissioning of rotating equipment.
T+I coordinator for MEX 2010 turnaround and project for staff and OEM contractors.
Monitor Bently Nevada and Prognost vibration diagnostic systems on centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.
Procure spare parts and adjust stores stock holding for rotating equipment. Lift supervisor.
Special Projects include Refinery Work Flow Improvement Project and Permit to Work Committee. From December 2007 to December 2014 (7 years 1 month) Maintenance Technician @ Maintenance Technician as below with new owner Total.
2003 Promoted to Senior Technician
2004 August - September seconded to Total Refinery Netherland as T&I Coordinator for a 6 week period to coordinate all trades in T&I activities on 3 areas of the plant.
2005 Promoted to Preventive Maintenance Coordinator. Tasked with developing and running a Rotating Equipment Preventive Maintenance Dept. Using 3 technicians monitoring and analysing results of temperature and vibration data collected from rotating equipment leading to proactive maintenance tasks. From January 2000 to December 2007 (8 years) Maintenance Technician @ Maintaining all mechanical equipment on Refinery Process Units, including manufacture of parts.
Overhaul of pumps, motors, turbines and compressors.
Maintaining furnaces and fans. Weld repairs and machining.
Fault finding and diagnosis of process issues relating to/from rotating equipment.
Use of laser alignment equipment for all types of rotating equipment. From April 1998 to January 2000 (1 year 10 months) Apprentice Marine Fitter, Marine Fitter @ Starting in 1984 served time as a marine fitter.
Worked as a marine and heavy transport fitter. Refitting vessels, engine overhauls, manufacture of components, steering systems, hydraulic systems repairs. Yacht repairs. HGV repairs, boat movements.
In 1993 transferred to Pembroke Lifting Services as a fitter. Became qualified as a crane driver, Mobile and All Terrain up to 300ton capacity. All aspects of rigging and lift experience gained.
Attached to the Marine Pollution and Salvage Centre, Milford Haven as operations engineer. From September 1984 to April 1998 (13 years 8 months)
