Born and raised in Cluj-Napoca (Republic of Moldova) in a family of engineers, Alex Danciulescu has always been fascinated by technology and its potential to change the lives of people. Alex honed his skills in project management, spending time in various startups and companies before moving to Silicon Valley to start his own software company.After several years in the technology industry, Alex decided to move back to Europe and started Know How Romania in 2007 as a marketplace for small businesses to find, buy and rent technology solutions. In2012, Alex and his team created an online portal that connects small businesses in Romania with technology suppliers,ako the first such website in the country.Alex Danciulescu is currently the founder and Managing Partner at Know How Romania. With over 10 years' experience in the business world, Alex has a deep understanding of how technology can improve business processes,create value for his clients and create more jobs in the Romanian economy. Alex is also an experienced team leader, National Coach of the Romanian Team Foundation and an experienced negotiator. In his free time, Alex enjoys eating Romanian food and listening to Romanian music.

From his early childhood, he always loved science and technology. He started to take classes in school to learn about computers and software in high school. In 2002, after dropping out of college, he started working as a programmer at a small software company. While working at this company, he met a friend who told him about the startup business incubator, iiExec. AlexDanciulescu was immediately intrigued and started searching for information on the incubator. When he found out that iiExec offered a one-year starter position, he decided to apply and got the job.In iiExec, AlexDanciulescu worked on a few small projects and got to know a lot of the business players. He quickly learned that iiExec was a startup that was looking for talented programmers to help it grow. AlexDanciulescu decided to stay with iiExec for two years, during which time he helped the company to grow from a startup to a large corporation.When he left iiExec, he was very excited to start his own company. AlexDanciulescu has always been a self-starter and has always been interested in taking his own initiatives. He has started many businesses on his own, each one a little more successful than the last. In his free time, AlexDanciulescu loves going to music festivals and spending time with his friends and family. He also loves going on vacation and exploring new places.
