Adam Waid has a BBA from the University of West Georgia. Waid worked as a bartender for six years before starting his own ComedyClubbar operations in Athens, Georgia in 2013. In 2015-2016, Waid won the Laughing Skull Award for Best Bar in Athens. Waid's starting point for his career as a comedian was trying to figure out how to make fun of people he knew andgapodging between situations that made it difficult for him to be funny while retaining a shred of human decency. After working his way up to Assistant Manager at Funny bones Comedy Club in Nashville, Tennessee, he opened his own comedy club in Athens, Georgia in 2016 and continues to tour and perform.Waid has been performing stand-up comedy since he was fourteen years old and has cashed in on his unique wit and storytelling skills for laughs since joining the New York City circuit as a rising star. He has appeared on late night talk shows, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In addition to his stand-up work, Waid is a frequent writer and dramatist for various sketch shows and television specials, including two seasons of the award-winning Robot Chicken. Adam Waid currently resides in Athens, Georgia with his wife and two children.
