📖 Summary
Senior Software Engineer @ MostLikely From January 2010 to August 2014 (4 years 8 months) Greater Seattle AreaSoftware Developer @ Fair Factories Clearinghouse Designed and developed a single instance of an ASP.NET website. Developed new reporting technology to support clientele. Migrated code and sql from multiple sources to standard convention. From 2007 to 2009 (2 years) Greater New York City AreaSenior Software Engineer @ USAFacts Staff Engineer @ Porch I've worked in pretty much every engineering department @ Porch. When ValueAppeal/MostLikely was acquired by Porch, I began working in the data squad to help merge the two company's data sources. After spending a few months digging through databases I was able to escape to the Porch Home Report team to work full stack again! We spent some time building out a public view of the home report and some integrations with the real estate industry as well as other partnerships until I was pulled away to help standardize and work on our "shared services" as the "services poobah". This was one of the first steps to our company moving from a monolithic service to micro services. After spending a few months working on the services architecture, we made a move from AWS to GCP Kubernetes. Being one of the first companies to be on Google's platform, we ran into some issues with the infrastructure so I found myself spending more and more of my time with DevOps diagnosing network and infrastructure issues, so I made my move to my new DevOps role. We eventually made progress with the help of Google maturing Kubernetes for me to take on my next task!Porch acquired Fountain towards the end of 2015 and they needed a full stack dev to keep it going as a separate entity. Since our infrastructure was stable, I was pulled off that team to handle Fountain's full stack. Spent my time working on the merge of the technology and building features that were already in Fountain's pipeline for a/b testing out the tech. Once we fully merged the technology and fountain.com was shut down, I found my new position in the company......business systems. I've been on this team for a while working full stack again with Scala & Java services as well as UIs built on Node & React. So I went from Postgres > Backbone/Java > Java > Bash/Kubernetes/Docker > Scala/Play/MySQL/Backbone > Java/Scala/Node.js/React with some other languages like PHP, Python, etc. in the mix.
