Wee Meng Tey currently serves as the R&D Manager for Electrical Hardware Projects at HP, where he plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence in the development of printer products. With a robust background in product R&D within the Industrial and Consumer Electronics sectors, Wee Meng has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing cross-functional teams of up to 15 electronics and design services engineers. His expertise encompasses defining electrical architectures, overseeing detailed design processes, and ensuring rigorous testing and validation to meet high-quality standards for mass production.

In his current role, Wee Meng is responsible for orchestrating complex projects that involve end-to-end electrical hardware development, from concept to commercialization. He manages project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, aligning engineering strategies with organizational roadmaps. His proficiency in design for manufacturing (DFM), lean manufacturing principles, and cost re-engineering ensures that product development is both innovative and cost-effective. As a Six Sigma Black Belt, he employs DMAIC methodologies to optimize processes, reduce variability, and enhance product reliability—key factors in HP’s commitment to delivering superior printing solutions.
