Umesh Chandrakar

Umesh Kumar Chandrakar is a highly skilled and adaptable professional with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in thermal power plant operations, currently serving as Deputy Manager- Operations at ACB India (2x135 MW). In his current role, Umesh plays a pivotal part in overseeing the efficient functioning of the power plant, ensuring optimal performance of critical equipment such as the boiler and turbine systems. His expertise in boiler commissioning and operation, particularly with CVL make boilers of 451 TPH capacity, has been instrumental in maintaining high plant availability and operational efficiency. Umesh’s deep understanding of turbine operations, especially with the Harbin make 135 kg/cm2, 535°C double-casing, HP, IP-LP reheat turbines with six extractions, allows him to effectively manage complex turbine parameters and troubleshoot operational issues swiftly.

As an Assistant Shift Incharge, Umesh is responsible for coordinating daily plant activities, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) procedures.
