Tonya Ringo

Tonya Ringo brings over two decades of dedicated experience in education, demonstrating a versatile and comprehensive skill set that spans multiple grade levels and diverse student populations. Currently serving as the Speech, Theatre Arts, UIL District Coordinator, and OAP Director at Whitney ISD, she plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant arts and academic environment within the district. In her leadership capacity, Tonya oversees all aspects of UIL competition preparation, ensuring that students and coaches meet rigorous deadlines for entries, performance materials, and permissions. Her expertise in coordinating these complex processes guarantees smooth operations and maximizes student participation and success in district and state competitions.

As the district’s Speech and Theatre Arts Coordinator, Tonya actively promotes student engagement in public speaking, dramatic arts, and performance-based activities, providing opportunities for students to develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills. Her role as OAP (One Act Play) Director involves guiding students through the entire theatrical production process—from script selection and rehearsals to technical design and performance—culminating in memorable productions that showcase student talent. Tonya’s strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and service-oriented approach ensure that each project is executed efficiently and effectively.
