Thea Lach currently serves as a Financial Aid Advisor at UMass Global, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless administration of federal and state financial aid programs. In her current capacity, Thea leverages her extensive expertise in financial aid administration, regulatory compliance, and budget management to support students in navigating complex financial aid processes. Her responsibilities include monitoring the awarding of financial aid packages to ensure strict adherence to Title IV regulations, as well as state and institutional policies. She actively manages and reviews data within the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) and the Common Origination Disbursement (COD) platform to identify and resolve issues related to federal grant overpayments, thereby safeguarding both the institution and its students.

Beyond her technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Thea’s strong analytical skills enable her to interpret financial data accurately and prepare detailed reports that inform strategic decision-making.
