Stephan Pijpers currently serves as the Head of Terminal Real Estate at Schiphol, where he plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the airport’s extensive real estate portfolio within the terminal environment. In this strategic leadership position, Stephan oversees a diverse portfolio of approximately 100,000 square meters, encompassing offices, warehouses, airline and business lounges, servicedesk facilities, and ticket counters. His responsibilities extend beyond day-to-day operations, focusing on long-term value creation, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable growth within Schiphol’s dynamic aviation ecosystem.

Under Stephan’s guidance, the Terminal Real Estate (TRE) team, consisting of over six dedicated professionals, drives initiatives that enhance the passenger experience, improve operational efficiency, and maximize revenue streams—currently exceeding €50 million annually. His expertise in property and portfolio management, combined with a deep understanding of airport and terminal processes, enables him to develop innovative solutions for complex real estate challenges. Stephan’s proficiency in financial control, lease negotiations, and risk management ensures that Schiphol’s real estate assets are leveraged effectively, balancing commercial objectives with operational requirements.
