Simon Deda currently serves as a Test Engineer at Hydrogen South Africa (HySa Infrastructure), where he plays a pivotal role in advancing hydrogen technology through rigorous testing and validation of hydrogen stacks, CCMs (Cell Control Modules), and GDLs (Gas Diffusion Layers). With a robust background in electrical power projects, Simon brings a wealth of expertise in the design, procurement, and installation of electrical power backup systems, including diesel generators ranging from 5kVA to 185kVA. His extensive experience also encompasses the installation of battery UPS systems, particularly tailored for critical loads in sectors such as banking, where reliability is paramount.

At HySa Infrastructure, Simon’s work is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of hydrogen systems, which are integral to the transition towards sustainable energy solutions. His proficiency in tools like PVSyst and PVSol enhances his ability to design and optimize solar PV systems that complement hydrogen production processes. Additionally, Simon leverages his skills in AutoCAD and MS Project to streamline project management and design workflows, ensuring that all testing protocols meet stringent industry standards.
