Sherrydan Laygo

Sherrydan Laygo currently serves as the Head of Manila Financial Control at ANZ, where she plays a pivotal role in steering the financial governance and reporting functions for the bank’s operations across multiple regions. In this capacity, she leads a team of over 130 seasoned financial controllers, acting as a strategic extension of the global finance organization. Her leadership ensures the seamless delivery of critical financial processes, including local statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, APRA reporting standards, and group consolidation activities. Under her guidance, the Manila Financial Control team has become a center of excellence, supporting ANZ’s diverse business units and regional divisions with high-quality financial analysis, accurate financial accounting, and robust internal controls.

With a strong background in transfer pricing, corporate finance, and financial analysis, Sherrydan brings a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in multinational banking operations. Her expertise in tools such as PeopleSoft and SAP enables her team to optimize financial data management and reporting workflows, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, she is enhancing her ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.
