Sameh Halawa

Sameh Halawa, as the Managing Director of the First Aid and Marine Rescue Center, brings a wealth of maritime expertise and strategic leadership to the organization. His current role involves overseeing the operational setup and management of a state-of-the-art marine rescue evacuation center equipped with a fleet of nine specialized boats, dedicated to providing emergency medical evacuation, search and rescue, and maritime safety services across the South Sinai and Red Sea regions. With a strong background in maritime operations, navigation, and maritime security, Sameh has been instrumental in developing comprehensive operational policies, safety protocols, and training programs that enhance the center’s capacity to respond swiftly and effectively to maritime emergencies.

His key projects include the implementation of advanced Search & Rescue (SAR) training modules, integrating international maritime safety standards such as ISM (International Safety Management) codes, and establishing collaborative partnerships with local authorities, maritime agencies, and international shipping companies. Sameh’s expertise in logistics and coordination ensures seamless execution of rescue missions, while his interpersonal and negotiating skills foster strong relationships with stakeholders and sea users alike. His experience working in multi-cultural settings enhances his ability to lead diverse teams and deliver impactful training, coaching, and capacity-building initiatives.
