Sam Prien

Samuel Prien, Ph.D., HLCD, FNAI, currently serves as Professor and Director of Clinical and Research Laboratories at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), where he plays a pivotal role in advancing translational and clinical research within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In this capacity, Dr. Prien oversees cutting-edge laboratory operations, focusing on the development and refinement of assisted reproductive technologies (ART). His leadership is instrumental in fostering innovative research projects that bridge basic science with clinical applications, ultimately aiming to improve fertility treatments and reproductive health outcomes.

At TTUHSC, Dr. Prien spearheads key projects involving molecular biology techniques such as PCR and genetic analysis to better understand reproductive mechanisms. His expertise in cell culture, animal models, and genetics enables the team to explore novel interventions for infertility and reproductive disorders.
