Rosanna Mutterback

Rosanna Mutterback currently serves as the VISN 8 High Reliability Organization (HRO) Officer, where she plays a pivotal role in driving the region’s cultural transformation toward high reliability principles. In this capacity, she leads strategic initiatives aimed at fostering a safety-first environment, reducing errors, and enhancing patient care quality across the VISN. Her expertise in change management, process improvement, and team leadership is instrumental in guiding complex projects that align with the Department of Veterans Affairs’ commitment to operational excellence and patient safety.

Rosanna’s journey within the VHA began in Quality Management at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, where she gained foundational experience in healthcare quality and safety. She later served as a Systems Redesign Program Specialist, leveraging Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies to streamline workflows and improve clinical outcomes. Her subsequent role as Systems Redesign Coordinator at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center further honed her skills in policy development, process analysis, and project planning, enabling her to lead multidisciplinary teams through significant organizational change.

At VISN 8, Rosanna’s expertise in analysis, policy implementation, and hospital operations underpins her efforts to embed high reliability principles into daily practice. Her proficiency with tools like Visio supports her in mapping processes and identifying areas for improvement.
