Robin Kung currently serves as a Senior Specialist in Operations Planning within the Global Clinical Supply team at MSD, where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination of internal and external packaging operations. His expertise lies in optimizing supply chain workflows, managing complex packaging orders across multiple work centers and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), and ensuring the on-time release of critical clinical supplies. Robin’s deep understanding of project lifecycle management, coupled with his passion for process improvement, enables him to identify and eliminate redundancies that can delay project timelines.

In his current role, Robin collaborates closely with Label Specialists, Packaging teams, CSPM, and Comparator Specialists to determine packaging designs that meet regulatory and quality standards. He manages the creation of essential source documentation, including material masters, Bills of Materials (BOMs), recipes, and production documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process. His technical proficiency with project management tools, VBA, Transact-SQL (T-SQL), and other automation technologies allows him to develop innovative solutions that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.

Robin’s key projects often involve implementing automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency, such as developing VBA-based tools to simplify order tracking and reporting. His enthusiasm for challenging standard workflows and his commitment to continuous learning have led to significant process simplifications, ultimately accelerating clinical supply timelines.
