Robert Coniker currently serves as the Lead Cloud Engineer at FATHOM5, where he leverages his extensive expertise in cloud infrastructure, security, and DevOps to drive innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security posture. In his role, Robert oversees the design, deployment, and management of scalable cloud architectures, primarily utilizing AWS services such as EKS for container orchestration and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to streamline provisioning and updates. His deep understanding of AWS Advanced Networking and Security Specialty enables him to architect resilient, secure environments aligned with Zero Trust principles, ensuring robust protection against evolving cyber threats.

A key focus of Robert’s work involves optimizing logging, monitoring, and incident response processes to maintain high availability and rapid troubleshooting capabilities. His leadership in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters has been instrumental in supporting FATHOM5’s agile development cycles and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Notably, Robert led the successful deployment of multiple self-hosted GitLab instances on EKS clusters, incorporating automated backup and disaster recovery strategies that significantly improved system resilience.
