Robert Christinger currently serves as the Chief Electrical Engineer at LCC Cement, overseeing the electrical systems and automation strategies across the company's cement manufacturing facilities in Libya. In this pivotal role, Robert leverages his extensive expertise in power generation, power distribution, and industrial automation to optimize plant performance, enhance energy efficiency, and ensure the reliability of electrical infrastructure. His leadership is instrumental in implementing innovative solutions that align with LCC Cement’s strategic objectives, including the integration of advanced automation systems to streamline operations and reduce downtime.

One of Robert’s key contributions at LCC Cement involves spearheading the introduction of a comprehensive global asset coding system. This initiative has significantly improved asset management, documentation, and maintenance planning by establishing standardized coding for cost centers, flow sheets, consumer lists, and automation concepts. Such systematic documentation facilitates proactive maintenance, efficient procurement, and seamless troubleshooting, ultimately boosting operational efficiency.

At the Benghazi plant, Robert led the critical revamp of the high-voltage (HV) power supply system, ensuring the plant’s electrical infrastructure meets modern standards for safety and reliability. His team undertook the repair and refurbishment of the HV power distribution network, incorporating new components and automation controls to enhance system resilience. His expertise in systems engineering, procurement, and preventive maintenance has been vital in executing these projects on time and within budget.
