Rob Zelders currently serves as the Commodity Manager at DAF Trucks NV, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives within the automotive industry. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of commodities, including critical engine components such as oil, water, and steering pumps, pistons, piston rings, valves, and engine block and head castings, as well as interior cab components like wall and roof trims, dashboards, steering columns, and encapsulation materials. Rob’s deep understanding of global sourcing strategies enables DAF to optimize supply chain efficiencies while maintaining high standards of quality and cost management.

In his role, Rob is heavily involved in co-developing long-term partnerships with key suppliers through strategic negotiations and collaborative innovation. He oversees periodic updates to the purchasing package, typically every four to five years, aligning procurement strategies with market trends and technological advancements.
