Richana Brown is a dedicated and aspiring Physician Assistant currently honing her clinical skills through her role as a Sports Medicine Student Worker at Hood College. In this capacity, she plays a vital part in supporting the athletic training team by assisting with injury prevention, evaluation, and immediate care for student-athletes. Her responsibilities extend beyond basic injury management; she actively contributes to the overall health and safety of athletes by setting up and breaking down equipment for practices, games, and training sessions, ensuring that all athletic activities run smoothly and efficiently. Richana’s role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the athletic training rooms and equipment, which is essential for a sterile and safe environment conducive to effective injury treatment and rehabilitation.

Her hands-on experience includes preparing hydration stations, distributing water, ice, and sports drinks, and providing immediate first aid response during athletic events.
