Reon Braaf

Reon Braaf is a dedicated Wind Turbine Technician currently serving as a Vestas V174 Tower Supervisor at NextWave Partners. In this pivotal role, Reon combines his technical expertise with a passion for renewable energy, contributing significantly to the successful installation and maintenance of wind turbine systems. His responsibilities include critical tasks such as bolt tensioning for foundations and blade studs, ensuring structural integrity and optimal performance of the turbines. Reon’s proficiency in hi-torquing bolts within the turbine showcases his meticulous attention to detail, a skill that is essential in maintaining safety and efficiency in high-pressure environments.

Reon is also deeply involved in the servicing and maintenance of wind turbines, where he expertly replaces oil filters and conducts oil sampling from gearboxes, as well as grease sampling from main shafts and blade bearings. His analytical skills come into play during fault-finding missions on turbines A12 and A4, where he performs hydraulic inspections and troubleshooting, ensuring that any issues are swiftly identified and resolved.
