Praneeth Nawarathna is a seasoned 3D Artist with over 17 years of diverse experience spanning the commercial and film industries. Currently serving as the Lead Lighting & Lookdev Artist and Environment Artist at Mogo Studios, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual storytelling of high-profile projects. Praneeth’s expertise lies in establishing master lighting setups and look development for both environments and characters, ensuring each scene achieves a compelling and cohesive aesthetic. His proficiency in lighting across offline rendering and real-time platforms like Unreal Engine allows him to deliver visually stunning and immersive experiences, whether for feature films, short films, or set dressing in virtual environments.

At Mogo Studios, Praneeth leads complex lighting and look development workflows, leveraging his deep knowledge of color grading, shot lighting, rendering, and compositing to craft polished final images. His skill set encompasses a broad range of tasks, from cg supervision and detailed environment modeling to VFX supervision and set dressing, often utilizing tools such as Autodesk 3ds Max, V-Ray, and SpeedTree. His background in matchmoving and rigging further enhances his ability to integrate live-action elements seamlessly into CG environments. Praneeth’s academic and self-taught foundation fuels his innovative approach, allowing him to adapt to evolving industry technologies and techniques.
