Peter Geenen

Peter Geenen currently serves as the Quality Manager at Marel Poultry, where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across the entire supply chain in Boxmeer. With a comprehensive background in quality management and engineering, Peter brings a strategic approach to optimizing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization. His expertise encompasses all facets of quality—from supplier quality assurance and process validation to customer satisfaction and complaint resolution—making him a key driver in maintaining Marel Poultry’s reputation for product integrity and safety.

In his role, Peter manages a dedicated team of eight professionals, including measurement technicians, quality surveyors, (S)QA engineers, and complaint engineers. His leadership focuses on professionalizing the Quality Management System (QMS), leveraging methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, and Lean manufacturing to streamline processes and reduce waste. He actively implements tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis to identify root issues and develop effective corrective actions, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO/TS 16949.

Peter’s strategic initiatives include enhancing KPI performance related to quality metrics, supplier quality improvement programs, and rigorous process audits. His expertise in quality system development and supplier quality management enables Marel Poultry to meet stringent industry regulations while maintaining operational efficiency.
