Nemo Courteix currently serves as the Technical Director of Pipeline at SUPERPROD STUDIO (Vanilla Seed), where he plays a pivotal role in streamlining the production workflows for feature films, TV shows, and teaser projects. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of 3D and 2D disciplines, with a particular focus on surfacing, lighting, rendering, and compositing. Nemo’s deep understanding of industry-standard tools such as Maya, Houdini, Arnold, Vray, and Substance Painter enables him to develop robust pipelines that enhance efficiency and quality across all departments.

In his role, Nemo provides front-line technical support, troubleshooting complex issues from layout to compositing, ensuring that artists can focus on their creative work without technical hindrance. His proficiency in scripting with Python and OSL allows him to automate repetitive tasks, optimize workflows, and develop custom tools tailored to the studio’s needs. Notably, Nemo has contributed to pipeline development for USD (Universal Scene Description), facilitating seamless asset management and collaboration in large-scale productions.

A key aspect of Nemo’s work involves collaborating with Arnold developers to identify and resolve bugs, often by creating simple test scenes that help improve renderer stability and performance. His specialization in surfacing, lighting, and rendering, combined with his skills in compositing using Nuke, positions him as a critical bridge between technical and artistic teams.
