Mindy Curran

Mindy Curran serves as a Health Policy Analyst at Central District Health (CDH), where she leverages her extensive background in public health to drive impactful health initiatives across the region. With a Master’s in Public Health from Idaho State University, Mindy has honed her expertise in health promotion and education, particularly through her previous role as a Health Education Specialist with Idaho Job Corps. At CDH, she plays a pivotal role in tobacco cessation coordination, working closely with community partners to develop and implement evidence-based strategies that encourage smoking cessation and reduce tobacco use among diverse populations.

Mindy also acts as a liaison for both the Boise County Health Coalition and the Elmore County Health Coalition, facilitating collaboration among stakeholders to address pressing health issues. Her strong interest in research and data collection allows her to conduct quantitative research and data analysis, providing critical insights that inform policy decisions and program development. Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS), she maps health trends and identifies areas in need of targeted interventions, enhancing the effectiveness of health initiatives.
