Michelle Catching currently serves as a dedicated Mental Health Coach at South Coast Community Service and South Coast Children's Society, where she plays a vital role in supporting at-risk transitional age youth (18-25) navigating severe and persistent mental health challenges alongside substance use issues. In her current role, Michelle leverages her expertise in crisis prevention, de-escalation techniques, and individualized case management to foster stability and resilience among her clients. She actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop and supervise tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and family therapy, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health recovery.

Michelle’s key projects include implementing community-based programs aimed at reducing psychiatric hospitalizations and promoting medication adherence through psychoeducation and supportive counseling. Her proficiency in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, including ProAct methods, enables her to effectively manage acute situations, ensuring safety and emotional regulation for her clients.
