HxA empowers members to advance change on their campus, educates academics on the importance of our principles, and advocates for policies to protect open inquiry across higher education. Founded in 2015 by Jonathan Haidt, Chris Martin, and Nicholas Rosenkranz, HxA has been working for nearly a decade to educate academics about the value of viewpoint diversity in research and teaching, and create campus cultures in which open inquiry thrives. With over 50 HxA campus chapters and members at more than 1,800 institutions, HxA continues to advance its mission through its commitments to truth-seeking, courageous curiosity, and a belief in the potential of our institutions of higher education.
