Matthew Thompson serves as the Mid-Atlantic Director of Engineering at Earth Retention, where he leverages his extensive expertise in civil and geo-structural engineering to lead innovative projects across the region. With a robust background in the design and construction of retaining and sound barrier wall systems, Matthew specializes in a variety of techniques including cantilever post-and-panel retaining walls, tie-back anchored systems, mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, soil nail and screw systems, as well as cast-in-place wall structures. His proficiency extends to foundation systems aimed at settlement control and slope stability, making him a vital asset in addressing complex geotechnical challenges.

In his current role, Matthew is responsible for overseeing project engineering and design management for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
