Manuel Esch currently serves as the Manager of Layout at LEM, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's integrated current sensor technologies. In this capacity, Manuel oversees the entire analog layout process, ensuring that complex CMOS-based ASICs are designed with precision and efficiency. His expertise spans the full physical design cycle, from initial package planning and floorplanning to detailed placement, routing, and verification, including LVS and DRC checks. As a seasoned tool specialist, Manuel leverages advanced Cadence and Mentor Graphics software to optimize layout workflows, improve design quality, and streamline verification processes.

In his leadership role, Manuel directs a talented team of analog layout engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes technical excellence and continuous improvement. He is deeply involved in key projects that push the boundaries of integrated current sensor performance, reliability, and miniaturization. His strategic project management ensures that all ASIC developments adhere to strict technical specifications, deadlines, and budget constraints. Manuel’s hands-on approach and deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal IC design make him a critical driver of innovation within LEM.

Beyond his technical acumen, Manuel is dedicated to talent development, supervising master theses in collaboration with TU Munich and TU Ilmenau, thereby nurturing the next generation of IC design engineers.
