Lucien Vandorst

Lucien Van Dorst currently serves as the Launch Manager at POLYTEC GROUP, where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing the technical implementation of new injection molding processes within the BU Projects Team at Polytec Plastics NL in Putte. His extensive expertise in injection molding, compression molding, and IMD/IMC technologies enables him to lead complex projects involving the development and optimization of high-precision molds for exterior truck parts, A-class surface components, and grained automotive parts for renowned customers such as DAF, MAN, AUDI, Daimler, BMW, and Volvo Trucks.

In his role, Lucien is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution from concept to production. His deep understanding of 2K injection molding, multi-movement tools, and specialized injection molds for speaker components and aesthetic parts allows him to deliver innovative solutions that meet stringent quality and surface finish requirements. Leveraging his skills in project management, FMEA, and CAD software like ZW3D and AutoCAD, Lucien ensures robust process validation and risk mitigation throughout the development cycle.

His focus on applying industry best practices such as APQP and BEON methodologies helps streamline the launch process, reduce time-to-market, and enhance product quality. By collaborating closely with specialists and utilizing his comprehensive knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, and process optimization, Lucien consistently drives successful project outcomes that align with POLYTEC GROUP’s commitment to innovation and excellence in automotive exterior parts manufacturing.
