Justian Smit, currently serving as a Specialist Operator at 247TailorSteel, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of our laser cutting operations. With a strong focus on the TRUMPF CO2 and Fiber Laser Cutting machines, Justian is responsible for meticulous machine setup, calibration, and ongoing quality control to meet the high standards of our custom tailoring production. His expertise in quick response manufacturing (QRM) methodologies allows him to adapt swiftly to changing production demands, minimizing downtime and optimizing throughput.

In addition to his technical responsibilities, Justian actively mentors new and internal team members, sharing his extensive knowledge of laser technology and CAD/CAM software, particularly Radan. His ability to transfer technical skills effectively ensures a well-trained workforce capable of maintaining our fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment. Justian’s role also involves supporting the (Assistent) Ploegleider in daily operations, coordinating workflows, and troubleshooting machine issues to keep production seamless.

His experience in a dynamic five-shift environment has honed his skills in process optimization and team collaboration, making him a key contributor to 247TailorSteel’s commitment to quick turnaround times and high-quality output.
