Jonathan Schulster currently serves as the Chief Simulations Officer at LSE Space GmbH, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's capabilities in space systems operations and mission preparation. His expertise lies in developing sophisticated simulation environments that underpin mission planning, system validation, and operational readiness for a diverse range of satellite missions. At LSE Space, Jonathan leads initiatives to design and implement high-fidelity simulators that replicate spacecraft behavior across subsystems such as thermal management, power distribution, data handling, and onboard software. These simulation tools are critical for training operational teams, validating command procedures, and ensuring seamless mission execution.

In his role, Jonathan collaborates closely with international space agencies and industry partners, leveraging his extensive background in mission operations, system engineering, and requirements management. His recent work includes the development, validation, and flight testing of over 40 onboard command procedures, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and reliability for satellite missions. Additionally, he oversees the procurement and integration of simulation systems, ensuring they meet stringent standards for accuracy and robustness.

As a key member of the EPS Missions Operations Preparation Service Team at EUMETSAT, Jonathan contributes to the preparation and validation of operations for the MetOp-SG and EPS-Sterna missions. His responsibilities encompass LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) planning, system engineering, and simulation-based validation of mission procedures. His skills in software engineering, mission planning, and systems design enable him to optimize mission workflows and support the transition from development to operational phases.
