Jini Kandyil

Jini Kandyil currently serves as a Senior Academic Advisor at the University of Arizona's James C. Wyant College of Optical Science, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting the academic and professional success of over 350 graduate students across online and main campus programs, including Certificates, MS, and PhD degrees. In this capacity, Jini leverages her extensive expertise in student services, utilizing systems like PeopleSoft and UAccess to streamline processes related to student enrollment, course registration, degree progression, and graduation tracking. Her deep understanding of Registrar’s Office procedures enables her to efficiently troubleshoot complex student issues, such as petitions for GPA adjustments, visa extensions, graduate assistantship allocations, and tuition appeals, ensuring a seamless academic experience for her advisees.

Beyond her core advising responsibilities, Jini actively contributes to data-driven decision-making by analyzing recruitment and retention trends through UAccess Analytics.
