Iris Ng currently serves as the Carbon & ESG Lead in Sustainability Finance at Olam, where she leverages her extensive multidisciplinary expertise to drive impactful climate and sustainability initiatives across the company’s global agricultural supply chains. In this strategic role, Iris oversees comprehensive carbon accounting efforts, meticulously quantifying GHG emissions across all scopes—Scope 1, 2, and 3—including complex operations such as farms, forest concessions, fleet management, shipping, factories, and trading activities. Her deep understanding of complex supply chains enables her to identify emission hotspots and develop targeted decarbonization strategies aligned with Olam’s sustainability commitments.

A key focus of Iris’s work involves integrating financial accounting principles with climate risk assessment and multicapital accounting, ensuring that environmental impacts are accurately reflected in corporate decision-making. Her expertise in climate reporting standards and sustainability frameworks allows her to craft transparent disclosures that meet global regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations. Additionally, Iris applies advanced tools such as openLCA and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to conduct life cycle assessments and spatial analysis, supporting data-driven strategies for sustainable sourcing and land-use management.
