Igor Simonovski

Igor Simonovski currently serves as a Scientific Officer at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), within the Institute for Energy and Transport. In this role, he leverages his extensive expertise in computational structural mechanics and nuclear safety research to support the development of innovative policies and technological solutions aimed at enhancing nuclear safety standards across Europe. His work involves leading multidisciplinary projects that focus on fundamental and applied nuclear engineering, particularly in the areas of structural integrity, safety assessment, and risk mitigation of nuclear facilities.
