Howard Baldock

Howard Baldock brings over four decades of comprehensive experience in design and construction within the mining and materials handling industries. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Designer at Fluor, Howard plays a pivotal role in advancing the BHP Area C Upgrade Project, which encompasses the design and integration of a primary crusher circuit capable of processing 2 x 40 Mtpa, along with an overland conveyor system. His expertise in plant design, structural engineering, and process plant infrastructure ensures the seamless development of complex EPC packages that optimize operational efficiency and safety.

Howard’s extensive background includes managing multidisciplinary teams in remote site environments and overseas assignments, where he has delivered innovative solutions across a broad spectrum of mineral commodities such as iron ore, gold, copper, lead, zinc, uranium, coal, nickel, and phosphate. His proficiency in engineering tools like MicroStation, P&ID, and MS Project enables him to coordinate detailed steel and plant design packages, ensuring project milestones are met with precision.

Throughout his career, Howard has demonstrated exceptional skills in project control, supervision, and training, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality and safety.
