Hockming Gan

Hock-ming Gan currently serves as a Technical Solutions Project Manager within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Bioproduction Group, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s Single Use Technologies (SUT) initiatives across the APAC region. Leveraging over 11 years of extensive experience in the chemical manufacturing industry, Hock-ming brings a deep technical expertise in purification adsorbents, hydro-processing catalysts, and sulfur recovery unit catalysts, primarily in O&G refineries and petrochemical plants throughout Asia-Pacific. His background enables him to understand complex bioprocessing challenges and translate customer needs into innovative, scalable solutions.

In his current role, Hock-ming manages cross-functional projects that involve technical support, process optimization, and the seamless integration of SUT components into biopharmaceutical manufacturing workflows. He acts as the single point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and efficient project execution from inquiry to order (ITO). His strong project management skills, combined with his analytical chemistry expertise and proficiency with analytical instruments such as ICP-MS, allow him to troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and develop data-driven solutions.

Hock-ming’s expertise extends to risk assessment methodologies like FMEA, which he applies to mitigate potential project risks and enhance product reliability.
