About Gabrial Nell

Gabrial Nell is a dedicated Software Engineer at Commerce Bank, where he plays a pivotal role in transforming critical banking services through innovative technology solutions. Currently, Gabrial is spearheading the ambitious project to rewrite the wire transfer service, transitioning it from a monolithic architecture to a robust microservices-based system. This strategic shift not only enhances system scalability and maintainability but also significantly improves the processing efficiency of wire transfers. By leveraging his expertise in Java and SQL, Gabrial has successfully introduced Java REST APIs and microservices that streamline the wire transfer process, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.

In addition to his work on wire transfers, Gabrial has made substantial contributions to the integration of voice biometrics technology at Commerce Bank. He developed a sophisticated API using Java, Spring, and Apache Camel, which automates identity verification for approximately 30,000 customers weekly. This initiative has dramatically increased both the speed and accuracy of customer identity verification, reinforcing the bank's commitment to security and customer satisfaction.

Gabrial's technical acumen extends beyond these projects; he has also created a service layer that connects Apache Kafka with a modern CRM, facilitating a smooth migration from Microsoft Dynamics. His proficiency in tools such as Jenkins, Microsoft Azure, and the Elastic Stack (ELK) further underscores his versatility in software development. With a strong foundation in Agile methodologies, Gabrial is adept at collaborating within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the banking industry. His passion for technology and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to Commerce Bank and the broader financial services sector.
