Eric Chattot brings over 30 years of specialized expertise in electromobility, currently serving as an Electromobility Expert and Energy Transition Project Manager at Transamo. In his current role, Eric leverages his extensive background to drive innovative projects focused on sustainable transportation infrastructure and electric mobility solutions. His responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of large-scale electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, supporting the transition of public transport fleets to zero-emission technologies, and advising clients on strategic energy transition pathways. His deep understanding of project management, public procurement processes, and systems engineering enables him to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively, ensuring that projects adhere to technical, regulatory, and sustainability standards.

At Transamo, Eric has been instrumental in leading key projects such as the acquisition and deployment of electric bus fleets, including the procurement of rolling stock and charging infrastructure for major urban areas like Bordeaux Métropole and Île-de-France Mobilités. His expertise in conducting feasibility studies for converting traditional bus lines to electric propulsion demonstrates his capacity to integrate innovative solutions within existing transportation networks. Additionally, his background in retrofit and build projects—culminating in the successful conversion of multiple PHEV vehicles—underscores his practical experience in electromobility systems and hybrid drive-train development.

Eric’s prior research at UC Davis’s Plug-In Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Research Center contributed to pioneering advancements in plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and continuously variable transmission (CVT) drive-trains, laying a solid foundation for his current endeavors. His skills in public procurement, embedded systems, and engineering design—using tools like SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and Simulink—complement his strategic project management capabilities.
