Eric Cabrol

Eric Cabrol is currently serving as the Head of Robot Engineering at Stanley Robotics, where he leverages over two decades of expertise in CAE, mechanical engineering, and robotics to drive innovation in automated vehicle management solutions. In this role, Eric oversees a multidisciplinary team of ten engineers responsible for the mechatronics and software development of Stanley Robotics’ autonomous robots, which are revolutionizing the parking industry through intelligent, scalable automation. His leadership encompasses a broad spectrum of technical domains, including CAE design and simulation, electrical system integration, actuator and sensor sourcing, battery sizing, and charging strategy optimization, ensuring that the robots meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance.

Eric’s deep expertise in vehicle dynamics, perception systems (such as obstacle detection and vehicle alignment), and localization techniques (including GPS RTK and SLAM) enables him to develop robust solutions that enhance the robots’ navigation and operational efficiency. His background in simulation tools like Abaqus, ncode, and Matlab, combined with his proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) and optimization, allows him to refine mechanical and mechatronic designs for maximum durability and functional safety. With a focus on integrating advanced perception and localization algorithms, Eric ensures that Stanley Robotics’ autonomous systems can operate seamlessly in complex, dynamic environments.

His industry experience in automotive CAE and ADAS simulation has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle mechanics and control systems, which he applies to the development of scalable, safe, and efficient robotic solutions. Through his strategic vision and technical leadership, Eric continues to push the boundaries of robotics innovation, positioning Stanley Robotics as a leader in autonomous vehicle technology within the mobility and logistics sectors.
