Elizabeth Dail

Elizabeth Dail currently serves as the Human Resources Manager within the North Carolina Department of Information Technology (N.C. DIT), where she plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing HR strategies that support the department’s mission of delivering innovative technology solutions to state agencies. In her leadership capacity, Elizabeth oversees the HR Services section, which comprises a dedicated team of four professionals responsible for Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, and the Workers' Compensation & Safety programs. Her expertise ensures that the department maintains compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA and ADA regulations, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Elizabeth’s key projects include streamlining employee onboarding processes through comprehensive New Hire Orientation programs, managing complex performance dispute hearings, and mediating HR grievances to promote fair resolution and employee engagement. Her deep knowledge of performance management and coaching helps managers and staff navigate performance issues effectively, supporting professional development and organizational growth. Additionally, Elizabeth has been instrumental in enhancing the department’s safety initiatives and workers’ compensation processes, reducing workplace incidents, and ensuring timely and compliant claims management.

With nearly 32 years of public sector HR experience, Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge in HR investigations, settlement agreements, and employee benefits administration.
