Elijah Kramer is a Senior Back End Engineer at Dolby Laboratories, where he plays a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of a sophisticated video Content Management System (CMS) and Over-the-Top (OTT) orchestration platform for Video on Demand (VOD) services. With a robust background in software engineering, Elijah excels in full-stack development, seamlessly integrating front-end and back-end technologies to create efficient and scalable solutions. His expertise spans a variety of programming languages and frameworks, with a particular focus on TypeScript and React for building dynamic single-page applications (SPAs) hosted on Amazon S3.
In his current role, Elijah is responsible for the CMS server, which utilizes a Golang Mux HTTP server alongside a GraphQL API. This architecture is containerized and deployed using AWS Fargate, ensuring high availability and scalability. He also leverages AWS services such as API Gateway, RDS for database management, and various serverless components like SQS, SNS, and Lambdas to orchestrate complex workflows within the OTT platform. His deep understanding of HTTP Adaptive Streaming and transcoding processes allows him to optimize video delivery, ensuring a seamless viewing experience for end-users.
Elijah is passionate about problem-solving and continuously seeks to enhance his skills in debugging, unit testing, and responsive web design. His commitment to excellence and innovation drives him to explore new technologies and methodologies, making him an invaluable asset to the Dolby team. As the industry evolves, Elijah remains at the forefront, contributing to cutting-edge projects that redefine the landscape of video technology and streaming services.
