Edrian Punzalan

Edrian Punzalan is a dedicated Civil Engineer at the Will County Division of Transportation, where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing critical infrastructure projects that enhance community mobility and safety. Since graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in May 2017, Edrian has honed his expertise in project management and contractor oversight. In his current role as a Resident Engineer, he is responsible for supervising contractor activities, meticulously documenting work progress, and measuring quantities for payment, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Edrian’s commitment to maintaining a safe and accessible work site is evident in his proactive approach to collaboration with contractors and stakeholders. His proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, ANSYS, and SAP2000 allows him to create precise designs and simulations, while his experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) enhances his ability to analyze spatial data for transportation planning. Additionally, Edrian utilizes Highway Capacity Software to assess traffic flow and optimize roadway designs, contributing to the efficiency of local transportation networks.
