About Dj Hall

Dj Hall is an accomplished artist and educator currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at Loyola Marymount University, where he brings a wealth of expertise in fine arts and visual communication. His innovative approach to art education emphasizes the interplay between light and memory, a theme that resonates deeply in his work. Dj's recent project, a “visual dialogue” with the renowned German Expressionist Max Pechstein, showcases his ability to synthesize historical influences with contemporary perspectives. Completing this body of work in just eight weeks is a testament to his creative agility and dedication to his craft.

At Loyola Marymount University, Dj Hall leverages his extensive skills in painting, drawing, and photography to inspire the next generation of artists. His courses often explore the nuances of contemporary art, encouraging students to engage with their own memories and experiences as sources of inspiration. By fostering an environment that values both technical proficiency and personal expression, Dj cultivates a rich learning experience that prepares students for diverse careers in the visual arts.

In addition to his teaching role, Dj is actively involved in curating exhibitions and collaborating with galleries, further enhancing his professional insights within the art community. His fascination with light as a primary subject matter not only informs his artistic practice but also serves as a foundational concept in his teaching philosophy. As he prepares to share the digital version of his catalogue, Dj Hall continues to bridge the gap between historical art movements and contemporary visual dialogue, making significant contributions to both his students and the broader art world.
