Desy Kuncoro currently serves as the APAC Regulatory Affairs Regional Manager at Himalaya Wellness Company, where she plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s regulatory strategy across the diverse Asia-Pacific market. With her extensive expertise in Regulatory Lifecycle Management, Dossier Development, and Regulatory Compliance, Desy oversees the registration and approval processes for a wide range of product categories, including medicinal products (Rx & OTC), health and food supplements, cosmetics, and household products. Her role involves ensuring that Himalaya’s innovative formulations meet the stringent regulatory requirements of each country within the ASEAN region, as well as expanding into African markets, aligning with local standards and Halal Assurance System protocols.

Desy’s leadership in Regulatory Affairs encompasses managing complex regulatory submissions, preparing comprehensive dossiers, and maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. She is instrumental in coordinating technical transfer projects, ensuring seamless product registration, and facilitating regulatory intelligence to adapt swiftly to evolving industry regulations. Her strategic approach to Regulatory Lifecycle Management and her deep understanding of the regulatory landscape enable Himalaya to accelerate product launches while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

In her current role, Desy collaborates closely with global teams, reporting to the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, to develop regulatory strategies that support Himalaya’s growth ambitions across multiple markets. Her expertise in regulatory documentation, filings, and compliance ensures that the company remains at the forefront of industry standards, fostering trust with consumers and regulators alike. Her interdisciplinary skill set and proactive regulatory leadership continue to drive Himalaya’s success in delivering safe, effective, and compliant health and wellness products across the APAC region.
