Deon Chan brings over 16 years of extensive experience in the aviation industry, beginning his career as a CAAS SAR B1.1 licensed aircraft engineer and progressing to an executive engineer at SIAEC, where he earned type rating certifications on B747, B777, and B787 aircraft. His deep technical expertise in line operation maintenance has provided him with a solid foundation in aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures, enabling him to develop a comprehensive understanding of airline operational needs.

Currently serving as the Customer Operation Manager at GE Aerospace since July 2022, Deon plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless engine induction processes and fostering effective cross-functional communication with stakeholders. His responsibilities extend to providing strategic logistical support and advisory services to airline customers, ensuring that their operational requirements are met efficiently and within targeted turnaround times (TAT). Deon’s role involves managing vendor relationships, overseeing quotations, parts routing, and repair processes—key activities that demand strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and meticulous coordination.
