Daniel Grutsch currently serves as the Head of Monitoring Engineering & Operations at NatWest Group, where he oversees the strategic development and operational management of the bank’s comprehensive IT monitoring infrastructure. In this pivotal role, Daniel leads a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the bank’s entire IT estate, encompassing OS monitoring, application and microservice monitoring, as well as interface monitoring. His expertise in lifecycle management of monitoring tools and agents enables the team to proactively identify and resolve issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing service delivery.

Daniel’s role involves not only the deployment and optimization of monitoring checks but also the continuous evolution of monitoring frameworks to adapt to emerging technologies and complex microservices architectures.
