Whole School Meals Ltd

We have provided a healthy school meals service in East Kent since 2006, serving around 1,500 children a day in 21 schools. We are effectively a social enterprise, with 75% of shares in the company owned by local schools. We employ around 65 staff who prepare meals on-site at the schools. We use fresh produce, mostly sourced from Kent, and prepare meals form scratch. Our outreach work comprises cookery clubs for children and families and we are working with Bigfoot Drama Academy in East Kent on a peer mentoring programme, Taste Buddies, to encourage children to be adventurous in their approach to fresh food.
