When WCS sees the opportunity to give back we do our best to participate. This year we are fundraising for Developing World Connections Kilimanjaro Challenge. Developing World Connections is an international development non-profit based in Kamloops, B.C. They mobilize people and resources to help build important infrastructure projects in many of the worlds poorest regions. Developing World Connections Kilimanjaro Challenge is a fundraising charity climb of the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Proceeds from this initiative will help build a school in a slum community of Freetown, Sierra Leone, and ensure DWC's long-term commitment to the communities around the world in which it works. We are also recruiting companies to become Base Camp Sponsors for this event. For $2000, Base Camp Sponsors will receive the following: - a photo shoot of their company logo on a corporate flag at the Kilimanjaro base camp, - prominent display of their company signage at pre and post-climb events, - inclusion in the media package, - recognition on the DWC and DW builders' websites, - inclusion in the post-climb thank you ad, and - a charitable tax recipe of $2000. Please contact: [email protected] to become a Base Camp Sponsor Click the link below to donate to the Kilimanjaro Challenge! http://developingworldconnections.org/donate/ Western Canadian Steel Inc.
