Watoto Church is an exuberant cell-based, community church with campuses in Kampala and Gulu, Uganda; and Juba, South Sudan. It is the home of an international non-profit organisation that was initiated as a response to the overwhelming number of orphaned children and vulnerable women in Africa.
Through this program, Watoto seeks to rescue an individual, raise each one as a leader in their chosen sphere of life, so they in turn will rebuild their nation. To date, Watoto has provided holistic, residential care for over 4,000 orphaned and vulnerable children (about 3,000 in current care).
Through Watoto’s Living Hope initiative, dignity has been restored to more than 3,000 vulnerable women, who have been empowered with literacy, business and practical skills. Their children, more than 15,000 boys and girls, now have a better chance at a future.
The renowned Watoto Children’s Choir travels the world to raise awareness about these initiatives.
Watoto Church is a member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God, and works in affiliation with the Pentecostal Assemblies of God in Canada. We are also a member of the Evangelical Fellowships of Uganda. Watoto Church is a lively church where you can experience meaningful worship and the preaching of the whole counsel of God.
We are committed to maintaining a healthy spiritual atmosphere that will enable worshippers to experience the presence of God.
