About VisionQuest New Jersey
VisionQuest serves youth from 12 to 17 years who have mental health issues and/or juvenile justice problems. The organization blends traditional therapeutic treatments with Native American culture. The youth are exposed to equine therapy, wildnerness adventure, high ropes courses, etc. It is a unique delivery that has proven quite effective. The youth are engaged in every aspect of their treatment and certain clients even are used to help their peers work through issues. It is a great alternative to a juvenile detention center and teaches much better life lessons. It works to build self esteem, team building, and socialization skills for kids who desperately need these skills.
